Care & Husbandry Guide

🏠 Enclosure & Substrate

Provide a vertically oriented arboreal enclosure with excellent cross-ventilation, upright cork bark, foliage, and multiple elevated anchor points for web construction. A modest substrate layer is sufficient; vertical structure, airflow, and webbing space should be prioritized over deep substrate. Provide larger specimens with a water dish while continuing to offer occasional droplets around the web retreat.

🌡️ Temperature & Humidity

Maintain comfortable room temperatures around 70–75°F. Prioritize strong cross-ventilation over artificially high humidity. Occasional light misting provides drinking droplets and localized moisture, but the enclosure should have enough airflow to prevent stagnant conditions. Avoid constantly saturated substrate and allow the enclosure to ventilate between mistings. Cross-ventilation is consistently emphasized for this hobby form as it is for other Avicularia. 

 🍽️ Feeding & Water 

Offer approximately 1–2 appropriately sized small-to-medium crickets per week for growing juveniles, adjusting according to appetite and abdomen condition. Lightly mist part of the webbing about once a week to provide accessible drinking droplets. As specimens become larger, provide an appropriately sized water dish as well. Remove uneaten prey during premolt and avoid keeping the enclosure continuously wet.
