Care & Husbandry Guide

🏠 Enclosure & Substrate

Provide a large, vertically oriented arboreal enclosure with strong cross-ventilation, upright cork bark, foliage, and multiple elevated anchor points for webbing. Because your mature animals can exceed 6” DLS, give adults generous usable vertical and horizontal space. A modest substrate layer is sufficient; prioritize airflow, climbing structure, webbing space, and easy access to water.

🌡️ Temperature & Humidity

Maintain comfortable room temperatures around 70–75°F. Prioritize excellent cross-ventilation over maintaining artificially high humidity. Provide accessible hydration through a water dish and occasional light misting around the web retreat while allowing the enclosure to ventilate between applications. Avoid stagnant air and constantly saturated substrate.

 🍽️ Feeding & Water

Offer appropriately sized crickets or roaches approximately once per week, adjusting according to appetite and abdomen condition. Adult females can be fed less frequently depending on body condition. Provide a clean water dish and lightly mist part of the webbing approximately once a week to create accessible drinking droplets. Remove uneaten prey during premolt and avoid continuously saturating the enclosure.

🕷️ Species-Specific Care

The Green Dream Pink Toe is an exceptionally rare, large-bodied Avicularia prized for its unusual green coloration, subtle blue hues, dense fuzzy appearance, and impressive adult size. Your mature female has developed the relaxed, confident personality you’ve observed in this stock as it ages, while younger animals can be noticeably more skittish. Despite its extreme rarity and collector value, its husbandry follows the same fundamentals as other large Pink Toes: excellent cross-ventilation, vertical structure, accessible water, and plenty of elevated webbing anchors.
