Orange/Violet Masked Tarantula (Citharacanthus Cyaneus)
A Stunning and Docile Orange Tarantula!
The Orange/Violet Masked Tarantula (Citharacanthus Cyaneus) is a New World terrestrial species that’s native to Cuba! Amazingly, this is a docile species of tarantula and while they do have the ability to kick hairs, my female literally NEVER kicks any hairs. Additionally I’ve never even seen this species give as much as a defensive posture. With that being said, I would compare their personality to that of a pumpkin patch tarantula except Citharacanthus Cyaneus (Orange and Violet Masked Bird-eater) gets larger and is much more confident, making them less prone to getting spooked! As a result, this gorgeous orange and purple tarantula will make a great addition to any collectors family as they’re not only handleable, grow to 5.5 inches in legspan… But they’re also absolutely stunning! Now, the adult Citharacanthus Cyaneus on this listing is actually the mother to the 2.5+ inch female I’m selling! These slings started out at 0.25 inches in DLS and after raising them up for over a year they have started feasting upon 1-2 medium crickets a week! If you have any questions regarding this unique and rare tarantula species feel free to ask me!
