Care & Husbandry Guide

🏠 Enclosure & Substrate

Use a terrestrial setup with 2–3 inches of substrate and plenty of cork, branches, foliage, or other webbing anchors. This species is an extremely heavy webber and will often connect its hide, substrate, and surrounding decorations into one large web tunnel. Give them usable height for webbing, but they do not need a true arboreal enclosure.

🌡️ Temperature & Humidity

Keep this species around 72–78°F with moderate moisture and plenty of ventilation. Allow the surface of the substrate to partially dry while maintaining a little moisture underneath. They don’t need a constantly wet enclosure, so focus on good hydration combined with fresh airflow rather than trying to maintain extremely high humidity.

🍽️ Feeding & Water

These are excellent eaters with a strong feeding response. Growing specimens can be offered an appropriately sized cricket or roach about once a week, and don’t be surprised if they tackle surprisingly large prey for their size. Keep a small water dish available once they’re large enough and lightly mist part of the webbing occasionally so smaller specimens have easy access to drinking droplets.
