They thrive in slightly cooler temperatures—high 60s to mid‑70s—reflecting their native Brazilian habitat. Provide a substrate of around 3 to 4 inches. Keep in mind. This is a terrestrial species of tarantula, that will not borrow unless she is gravid. That said, this species tends to spend all its time out in the open where she will lay a mat of web on every inch of her enclosure. This will allow her to better hunt her prey and dial in on where exactly things are in her enclosure. make sure you keep the substrate on the dry side for adult specimens while younger specimens should have moist (not soaked), substrate. Additionally provide the species with a water dish.
