Euathlus Manquehua, Commonly referred to as The Chilean Royal Flame! This flamboyantly colored tarantula is a must have for any seasoned collector! Their personality is most closely related to {E. Tigre Azul} or {Hoemmeoma Chilensis} as the Chilean Royal Flame appears to enjoy being handled! With their docile demeanor and curious nature no other tarantula comes close to how enjoyable E. Manquehua is to hold! Reaching an adult size of just over 4 inches DLS… what this mesmerizing beauty lacks in size she more than makes up for with her flaming golden orange coloration! Additionally, The Chilean Royal Flame has a feisty feeding response, most comparable to that of a Grammostola pulchra (Brazilian Black) With that being said, I’ve always considered Tarantulas in the Euathlus genus to be more colorful dwarf versions of the infamous genus Grammostola… and make no mistake, Euathlus sp. Manquehua falls into that same category! Now, I’ve been keeping this girl for well over a year now and to call her a slow grower would be an understatement! Regardless, her last molt was finally big enough to sex, and now this girl is just over 1.25 inches DLS! Once she reaches 2.5+ inches she will obtain those one of a kind adult colors! With that being said if you’re interested in this beauty… get her while you still can!
